Like all NX series enclosures,the NX55P is manufactured using tough, light weight low resonance variable density composite materials. In addition they are UV and moisture resistant. The NX55P enclosure itself has been molded for maximum versatility. The trapezoid box is ideal for mounting in arrays, or for use as a monitor. An improved wedge monitor angle has been incorporated into the new design.

The horn amplifier uses a two-tier class H linear technology, allowing the horn to produce loud clean transients to keep up with the high output of the woofer. The two-tier amplifier technology is a lower weight, more efficient amplifier with higher headroom and lower operating temperature. It is a perfect solution for powering the top end.

The NX55P can easily be used in any orientation, and close to walls, floors and in close arrays with multiple cabinets. Particular care was taken designing the components to reduce extraneous heat production.

The NX55P has a versatile direct input system and built-in mixer. The mixer allows the loudspeaker to be used directly with a microphone and / or line source. The loop output allows additional active cabinets to be driven from one cabinet’s mixer stage, or a series of cabinets to be driven from one source. If desired, the end user can combine multiple NX55P's using the mixer inputs on each cabinet and coupling the loop outputs. In this simple example you would have the ideal presentation system with two microphone inputs, two line inputs.

The microphone input has equalization and high pass filtering appropriate for vocal applications. The trim control allows looped cabinets to be individually adjusted in level. The NX55P has user defeatable 100Hz high pass filters allow either cabinet to be used more efficiently with any Yorkville active subwoofer.

We''ve also found an opportunity to tweak the electronics for maximum overall speaker performance and protection. Borrowing some ideas from our powerful and popular TX Series PA systems, the limiters used in the input and crossover stages are a complex combination of gain reduction and sweeping filters. As the NX55P is being pushed to its maximum input / output levels, it''s advanced filtering begins rolling off unnecessary subsonic frequencies.

The filter has remarkable response times (less than 70ms), allowing the system to constantly be returning itself to make sure the output is as clean, as loud and as clear as possible at any given moment. This is achieved without negatively affecting the overall sonic quality of the cabinet. This ensures that the essential part of any mix, like the vocals or solo instruments, comes out clean and clear at the extremes of power and woofer excursion. Extremely fast and accurate limiting is in place to protect the speaker components.

The NX55P has a built in mixer that allows the loudspeaker to be used directly with a tuned microphone and / or line sources such as mixer, CD player or laptop computer. The loop output allows additional powered cabinets to be driven from one cabinet''s mixer stage, or a series of cabinets to be driven from one source. If desired, the end user can combine a pair of the NX55P's using the mixer inputs on each cabinet and coupling the loop outputs. In this simple example you would have the ideal presentation system with two microphone inputs, two line inputs optimized for CD, cassette or laptop computer audio source, complete within two speaker cabinets. Many NX55P's can be linked together but a maximum of three "mixers" can be active at any one time. (Making three mic sources and six line sources available in any three or more cabinet array). The microphone input has equalization and high pass filtering appropriate for vocal applications. The trim control allows looped cabinets to be individually adjusted in level. This is valuable in applications where large numbers of cabinets are used such as clusters or in trade show applications. The NX55P has a selectable two position high-pass filter to limit extraneous low frequency rumble, or to crossover at the input so the loudspeaker can easily and effectively be used with subwoofers from a single full range source. Engaging the high pass filter also makes the NX55P a more efficient and effective vocal monitor.

The NX55P is an ideal loudspeaker for mobile presentation PA where high volume and superior sound quality is required. Multiple loudspeakers can easily be linked using mixer inputs from each loudspeaker to create a six input system... no external mixer required. (Up to three "mixer" sources can be used in any one system.)

The NX Series loudspeaker cabinets have undergone a constant evolution since the flagship model, the NX20, was introduced in early 2000. Along the way, improvements in the molding process have led to the use of tougher, lightweight, low resonance variable density composite materials, use of denser foam in select locations and redesigned part geometry for a much sturdier and a much stronger molded loudspeaker box.

The NX Series cabinets now have a smoother, more rugged and more professional final finish.

All cabinets in the NX Series are molded for maximum versatility, and all boxes can be used as either a full range front of house enclosures, as floor monitors or as installation loudspeakers. Integrated flypoints, recessed handles, dent resistant all metal grilles and integrated stand mount adaptors are included on all NX Series cabinets ensuring maximum flexibility. Speakon and 1/4-inch connectors on the passive cabinets (XLR and TRS balanced connectors on the active loudspeakers) ensure simple and secure connectivity. All NX Series cabinets are UV and moisture resistant and can be used in outdoor applications.

The trapezoid box is ideal for mounting in arrays, or for use as a monitor, with recessed input jack plate and an ideal wedge monitor angle that was taken into account in the initial design. Neither application was considered as an afterthought. Stand mount and flying hardware are also available.

NX720S
NX720S - 15-inch Compact Active Subwoofer

The NX720S has sophisticated processing circuitry that protects the driver while maximizing the use of the available power. This processing has been carefully optimized to complement the characteristics of the driver and enclosure system. The fast limiter protects against clipping and over excursion. It is located with both high and low pass filters on either side of the limiter to guarantee that only the correct frequency content reaches the driver. The slow (RMS) limiter is equalized to adjust for the impedance variations of the loudspeaker system over frequency. This ensures the maximum output of continuous bass prevalent in today''s music while ensuring protection of the driver against overheating. Carefully tailored attack and release times ensure that maximum level is available from the system.

The input section in the NX720S allows for a variety of system configurations. There are two input sections allowing two signals to be blended into the NX720S. This allows stereo left and right signals to be summed into one NX720S while preserving channel separation of the stereo signals. Each input section has XLR male and female jacks to allow loop thru of line level signals. In addition one input section also has two 1/4-inch jacks that may be used for loop thru of line or speaker level signals. Within each section all jacks are connected in parallel.

Simple controls on the NX720S include an input gain control (Volume), variable high frequency cut-off and low-frequency tunable bass boost. The variable high frequency cutoff is adjustable from 90 to 150 Hz to trim the subwoofers low-pass filter to suit whatever full range cabinets are being used with this sub. A low-frequency tunable bass boost adjustable from 45 to 90 Hz has been included to allow subtle customizing of the bass character.

Proven Class D amplifier technology allows the NX720S to operate without a fan while preserving ample thermal margin without the need for large heavy heatsinks so it is lighter than conventional amplifiers.

Solid, rugged 5/8th-inch 11-ply Russian birch cabinet construction provides unmatched long-term reliability. A heavy gauge perforated metal grille protects the speaker while integrated bar handles and a speaker-stand pole-mount are also metal.

Multi Purpose Mixer with FX for Live Sound and Recording

ZED-10FX is an amazing little desk for small band mixing. It is ultra portable for carrying to the gig, and can be used for recording live or in the studio. It comes with configurable USB audio in/out making it easy to capture stereo recordings.

Guitars can be plugged in directly to the mixer using the specially designed high-impedance inputs, while the mixer has two stereo inputs for MP3/CD players or keyboards. Equipped with professional XLR stereo outputs and a flexible monitoring section with headphone and speaker feed outputs. We’ve added a set of fabulous effects to give shimmering reverbs and enhance your sound.

ZED-10FX is bundled with IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube X-GEAR software, giving access to superbly modelled amps and effects.

Getting audio to and from a computer easily is now a common requirement for live sound and music production. The way this has been implemented on ZED is super-flexible and super-easy! No longer do you need to fiddle around the back of your PC to get to the soundcard inputs, only to find that the levels are all wrong and noisy. Just plug in a USB lead to your ZED, select the USB routing on the mixer and the device on your computer and that's it! CD quality audio to and from your PC or Mac. Switches and connection through jack socket terminals provide different send/return configurations:-

1) Main Mix Left + Right (Post master Level)
2) Aux + FX bus (Aux is a pre-fade send, FX is a post-fade send)

ZED-10FX features a responsive 3-band, swept mid frequency EQ design which utilises MusiQ – with optimised slope (or Q factor) for equalising individual instruments.

ZED-10FX has an essential selection of 16 time-delay effects, designed for small groups who don’t want to carry around an effects unit with their gear but who still want great quality FX at their gigs and on their recordings. Our DSP engineers worked hard, crafting and refining beautiful reverb algorithms to enhance every performance. These effects are available nowhere else at this price point – this quality and integration is only available from the ZED-FX. ZED effects are easily controlled using 3 buttons with 9 display LEDs. For example, the ideal delay time can be quickly tapped-in, or the perfect amount of reverb on the lead vocal can be dialled-in. There is one-stop navigation and editing – in fact, it’s just as easy as using effects pedals. To alter effects parameters, the TAP button is held down and the up/down buttons pressed to adjust the specific parameter for that effect, for example, the decay length on PLATE, or the depth on CHORUS.

ZED-10FX’s pre-amps are similar in design to our MixWizard range of mixers, but with a twist! Inputs 3 & 4 have a high impedance jack input capable of taking either a normal line level or a low level input from a guitar pickup. These newly designed inputs have been crafted with the aim of replicating the sound of a classic guitar or instrument tube pre-amp in a combo or head amp. An extremely high input impedance ensures loading on pick-ups is minimal and a Class A FET (field effect transistor) circuit powered from 48V is employed to give the valve-like gain stage. There is a gain “Boost” switch associated with the guitar inputs which boosts gain by 26dB to cater for instruments with very low level outputs and the overdrive characteristics of the guitar inputs are very similar to a valve (tube) circuit, being asymmetric and soft. All this makes for a wonderfully natural sound to be reproduced from the instrument, full of warmth and character

As if we weren’t spoiling guitarists enough with its Class A FET high impedance preamps, the ZED-10FX comes with access to a full version of IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube X-GEAR software – the first fully modular, customizable and expandable preamp and FX modelling software system. All the ingredients are there for some truly legendary guitar and bass tones.

SYSTEM OPERATION

Take the antennas from the shipping box and connect the antennas to the F connectors on the rear panel of the AWR6122U receiver. Set the antennas at an angle 45 from the floor and 90 away from each other to achieve the best RF reception.

Connect the AWR6122U receiver DC input to an AC power source via the supplied AC/DC adaptor.

If needed, adjust the squelch control of each channel to overcome any excessive external interference signal or noise that exists when the transmitter is turned off. If the external interference signal or noise exists when the transmitter is off, adjust the squelch control knob slowly until the unwanted interference signal or noise is muted. (Note: Setting the squelch too high will reduce the range of this wireless system.)

Connect the AWR6122U receiver audio outputs to the microphone inputs of a mixer via phone plug cables. (Note: There are three outputs: one unbalanced mixed output, one balanced channel A output, and one balanced channel B output.)

If the AWX6120 handheld microphones are to be used in the wireless system, place two rechargeable AA batteries into the battery housing of each AWX6120 microphone with the battery polarity oriented as indicated. If the batteries need to be recharged, set the AWX6120 microphones (with the recharge contacts facing downwards) onto the recharge sockets on the AWR6122U receiver. (Note: Never recharge any battery that is not made to be rechargeable.) The orange recharge LED indicators will be on when the batteries are being recharged. After the batteries are fully charged, the orange recharge LED indicators will turn greenf.

Turn on the power of the AWR6122U receiver.

Turn on the On/Off switch on each of the AWX6120 microphones. The low battery LED indicator will blink once and then stay off. If the low battery LED indicator stays on, recharge the rechargeable AA batteries in the AWX6120 microphone.

Once the AWX6120 handheld microphones are turned on, the RF indicators on the receiver will be on to indicate a proper reception.

OPERATION NOTES

The AWX6120 microphone is equipped with a microphone sensitivity adjustor (Mic. Adj.). Turn the Mic. Adj. Knob clockwise to increase the microphone input sensitivity. Turn the Mic. Adj. Knob counter-clockwise to reduce the microphone input sensitivity.

The brand new rechargeable AA batteries for the handheld microphones need to be charged before use.

The AWX6120 handheld microphone needs to be turned off before changing the batteries or battery.

The AC/DC adapter used for the AWR6122U has a DC output of 12-18V, tip positive.

Signal dropout or unexpected noise may be caused by a low battery or by an excessive distance between the microphone and the receiver. If you encounter signal dropout or unexpected noise, please check the batteries first. If batteries are still fresh, try to readjust the antennas on the AWR6122U receiver.

Do not drop the microphone on the floor or strike the microphone with any object.

Always turn off the microphone and remove the batteries if the microphone is not to be used for a period of time to prevent the microphone from being damaged by a leaking battery.

Avoid placing the receiver in a corner to prevent any RF reception deterioration.

Try to place the receiver as far away from any digital equipment, including computers and some CD players, as possible.
